For three years, Irene wrote and edited a newsletter for the University of Washington’s Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies. The newsletter promoted the work of the department both in Seattle and abroad and was key in increasing donations to the department.

This six page monthly newsletter was widely distributed not only to volunteers but throughout the University of Washington Medical Center. Featured articles highlighted departmental news, medical center-wide developments, and volunteer of the month profiles.
